THE END OF THE WORLD?

Is the world ending tonight May 21, at 6:00 pm? Harold Camping thinks so. He is one of many false prophets our Lord, Jesus Christ warned the disciples about. We must look to the true authority to know the answer to this question.
"And do not forget the things I have done throughout history. For I am God - I alone! I am God, and there is no else like me. ONLY I can tell you what is going to happen even before it happens.[prophesy][caps mine for emphasis..ed.] Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish." Isaiah 46:9,10 Every Man's Bible.

Later, Jesus sat on the slopes of the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and asked, "When will all this take place? And will there be any sign ahead of time to signal your return and the end of the world?"

Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you. For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Messiah.' They will lead many astray. And wars will break out near and far, but don't panic. Yes, these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately. The nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all of this will only be the beginning of the horrors to come.

"Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because of your allegiance to me.[rather than the New World Order that is being formed as I write. ed.] And many will turn away from me and betray and hurt each other [when the persecution starts..ed.]. And many false prophets will appear and will lead many people astray. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But those who endure to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom [of God..ed.] will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then, finally, the end will come." Matthew 24:3-14, Every Man's Bible
It doesn't matter when the day or the hour will come for the end of the world. God has told us in his word that only he knows. Therefore trying to predict it is pointless. This is one of Satan's temptations to move your focus in the wrong direction, by following a false prophet who claims to have inside knowledge that no one else has been smart enough to figure out.
"However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father [God the Father..ed.] knows. And since you don't know when they will happen, stay alert and keep watch." Mark 13:32,33, Every Man's Bible.

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36 KJV

"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh." Matthew 25:13 KJV

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was with you, I told you these things?" II Thessalonians 2:3-5 KJV
The date is irrelevant. What is relevant: are you prepared? We don't know the day or the hour of our coming death or of the end of the world. Would it make a difference if you knew?

We are directed therefore in God's word to keep watch since we don't know the day or the hour.
"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 KJV
We must prepare now. How do we prepare? by getting right with God. Read the following passages of scripture to prepare. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 5:8; Romans 10:8-10 and 13; Romans 12:1-2. John 3:16. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord of your life. Live by his standards as set forth in his Word [the Bible]. No more situation ethics will suffice. You will have a rock solid standard to live by. Jesus Christ will answer your prayers if you truly trust in him and obey his word. When you are prepared spiritually for any eventuality then time is irrelevant and questions of the end are meaningless since we do not know when it will come. But those who know Jesus Christ are not in darkness, that that day should overtake us as a thief who enters unexpectedly.

It doesn't matter when it comes. What matters is: Are you prepared? Rest assured that day will come. Many will scoff and laugh when this false prophet's predictions are once again proved wrong but always remember this. God does not measure time as we do.
"But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward[toward us, ..ed.], not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." II Peter 3:8-10 KJV
The following video sums up my answer to Harold Camping's end of the world prediction.

Epilogue

Therefore keep watch, for the bridegroom cometh!
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Matthew 25:5-6 KJV.
